DAVID AUERBACH is a veteran stage manager best known for his decades of work on NBC's TODAY, where he has helped bring one of television's most enduring live broadcasts to audiences every morning. Before transitioning behind the scenes, David built a career as an actor, appearing in television, film, theater, and national commercials. 

After a 32-year hiatus from performing, he returned to the screen in 2026 with a featured role in Steven Spielberg's Disclosure Day, marking a remarkable second act in his artistic career. 

A graduate of the University of Miami with a degree in Drama and Television Broadcasting, David also trained with renowned teachers Uta Hagen, Wynn Handman, and Kurt Dempster. His unique career spans both sides of the camera, combining decades of expertise in live television with a lifelong passion for storytelling.
